Having said that, I see the trash can Mac Pros have dropped rather markedly on eBay. I am well versed in Windows and Linux (specifically Debian-based Distros) but my last Mac was a G5 iMac which I had installed Ubuntu on and prior to that, any long-term Mac usage was in the G4 OS8/9 days.
